The Story So Far:

A Cold/Dark World

The world is in utter disarray: people all over the globe are starving, the world's natural resources are largely destroyed, its animals and plants are nearly all extinct. Outlook looks bleak for those who remain alive, all hope seems lost. But how did we get here?

It is believed to have started about 15 years ago but went largely unnoticed by the people of the world. The shadow grew so slowly and discretely that the inhabitants remained oblivious until it was too late. When the shadow eventually blocked out the sun, it plunged the world into an ice age, covering the planet and everything on it in a thick sheet of ice.

A Sinister Plot

The pyromaniacs who had long been misunderstood had now become a beacon of hope. Their ability to create fire, once seen as a destructive menace was now the worlds best hope to thaw out the deep freeze. But that hope was short lived, as an authoritarian dictator saw this as an opportunity to capitalize on the world's weakness. He rounded up all the pyros in the world, locking them in jail so that his selected followers would have control over the pyre.

Those that remained were forced into hiding, scattered to the far edges of the globe. However their safety would be short-lived as the totalitarian regime used all of its power and resources to hunt down and destroy all the remaining pyros. The survivors had no choice but to develop a desperate plan, launch themselves into space and create new colonies until they could bolster their numbers enough to one day return and save the planet!

Humanity's Last Hope

You are in charge of one of these small colonies of survivors, your first task is to put your people to work gathering what sparse resources you can find and exploring your surroundings. Rediscover lost technology and build up your colony into an advanced society.

Along the way you are certain to encounter unexpected threats, you will need to build an army to eliminate the danger. Meet new friends and work together to overthrow the evil regime and restore peace to the universe.

The future depends on you. Will you answer the call?

About The Game:

A completely free browser based MMORPG made by players for players; developed as a passion project born from the minds of those frustrated with developers who neglect their games and don't even understand how their game is actually played.

All characters in the game are fictional, any similarity or likeness to real people is purely coincidence.

How to Play:

1. Create your account by providing an email address and password that you will use to login. If you forget your password, a secure password reset link will be emailed to you. Your email address will not be shared, instead upon logging in for the first time you will be prompted to select a unique player name. This will be the name all other players know you by, and will be displayed on your player profile.

2. Assign your workers to their tasks. In order to build up your colony you will need to have your workers perform various tasks to gather the games resources such as Bricks, Steel, and Diamonds. A few of your workers are automatically assigned to tasks however you can re-assign your workers at any time.

3. Build your colony. Once you have some resources gathered its time to start construction projects to expand your colony. Some of the buildings will be unique enhancements that expand your options within the game such as the Casino which unlocks various casino games such as Slots and Blackjack. Other buildings will be used to enhance your resource gathering, house your troops, and generate the electricity needed to power your growing colony.

4. Research new technology. Initially your colony will have very limited technical capabilities, once your workers collect enough knowledge you can research enhancements such as Diamond Refining or the Assembly Line to eventually advance your colony from a Primitive Age all the way to a Futuristic Age.

5. Recruit an army. In order to defend your growing colony from external threats it is essential to build up your defenses using a variety of infantry, vehicles, aircraft and defensive structures.

6. Master the marketplace. Gathering resources slowly over time is ok when you are just getting started but eventually you will want to master the market of buying low and selling high to allow yourself access to nearly unlimited riches.

7. Gamble it all away. Pass the time in between ticks by playing the previously mentioned casino games such as Slots and Blackjack. Win casino tickets that can later be exchanged for various in game rewards.

This game is a passion project started just a few weeks ago by Fanny and Crazy, in their spare time and while the dream is grand please understand that good things take time.

August Update

Wanted to give all interested parties an update on the project. Progress is continuing on Phase 1: Affectionately Deemed "It's Technically a Game".Originally phase 1 was intended to be available as early as the end of July but life happened so Phase 1 is now looking to be available around Labor Day.

Basic Elements Completed:

Phase 1 is a "Technically" playable Alpha, meaning that while the pieces are functionality there, user experience is going to be rough, ie building one troop at a time. Within Phase 1, the target audience is going to be limited to a small group to get feedback and suggestions, while anyone will be able to sign up, we wont be looking to actively grow the user base.

Phase 2 is when the game will go into a more polished Beta. This phase will include a lot of user experience enhancements (including building troops is quantities greater than 1), having a more flushed out tech tree, and hopefully some sort of NPC enemy to attack. Phase 2 is loosely targeted to be completed in October although changes will be pushed out intermittently as features become ready.

Phase 3 is when the first official "round" will begin. This phase includes a number of additional features including some of the following: Alliances/Teams, Espionage/Sabotage, NPC Attacks/Threats, Achievements/Tutorial, Optional in game purchases, and Advertising. Like above, phase 3 features will be deployed as they are available, with the first round roughly targeted to begin in early 2021.

Your patience and support is greatly appreciated, it is likely that the early version of the game will be a bug filled mess, but your feedback and suggestions will make it better!

October Update

Phase 2 milestones have been completed and the game is actually playable! It's been less than 2 months since the first round of Alpha users started playing and already the game has seen substantial improvement. A huge thank you to everyone who has given feedback so far. The game has progressed very rapidly in the past 6 weeks and I'm very exited about where it is going.

December Update

Sometimes life gets in the way. Between a rediculous holiday peak season at work and an increasingly demanding toddler at home, work on this project has been on hold for some time.

Hopefully things settle down in 2021 and I can get back to working on this, but taking one day at a time right now.
